James W. Furlong is to become the new Head of Americas and member of the Group Executive Committee of the Belimo Group. The Belimo Group is a leading global manufacturer of innovative electrical actuator solutions and valve systems for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Furlong is the successor of Lars van der Haegen, who has been leading as CEO of the Belimo Group since July 1, 2015.
Prior to signing on with Belimo, Furlong has been managing the industrial HVAC business of Johnson Controls, Building Efficiency Group, with global accountability since 2008. From 1999-2008, he worked in various functions at the Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc., and also worked in various functions at York International Corporation from 1991-1999. Furlong is a professional engineer (P.E.) with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
Furlong will enter his new role on March 1, 2016.
