Fukoku plans expansion in Laurens County

A Japanese manufacturer of rubber and plastic automotive products, as well as seals for industrial applications, has announced its plans to expand its operations in Laurens County, South Carolina. Fukoku America said in a release that the company’s expansion will bring nearly USD $13.9 million in new investment and create 65 jobs.

“We at Fukoku America are proud to have been part of the Laurens County Industrial Community for the past 15 years,” Masahiko Tsubota, Fukoku America Executive Vice President, stated in the release. “We have had a great relationship with the City and County of Laurens, as well as the State of South Carolina.”

The company said it will be increasing its manufacturing capacity for producing constant-velocity boots and rack and pinion boots for the automotive industry.
