Fluor names new COO

Senior executives at Fluor Corporation are being realigned in an attempt to improve the speed of market and client offerings for its commercial businesses. Fluor is also planning on creating a more streamlined organization based on the company’s commercial business lines.

As part of these changes, Peter Oosterveer has been named as the chief operating officer (COO). He will be responsible for leading the growth and development of Fluor’s commercial business lines. He will also oversee the integration and advancement of the company’s direct-hire construction, fabrication and modularization capabilities. He will be reporting to Fluor’s Chairman and CEO, David T. Seaton. Mr. Oosterveer used to be the president’s of Fluor’s Energy & Chemicals Group.

Mr. Seaton has commented, “Peter’s 25 years of Fluor experience, his client relationships and executive experience provide the perfect skill set and knowledge for his new responsibility. Creating a more streamlined organizational structure is an important step toward achieving our profitable growth goals.”
