Flowserve new McCANNA TMBV for PTA applications

Irving, Texas-based Flowserve Corporation, a leading provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, recently announced it is now offering a McCANNA TMBV, top-entry, wedge-seated trunnion mounted ball valve for the Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) industry. The McCANNA TMBV ball valve is an uncompromising solution for preventing product contamination in PTA production, delivering reliable valve performance for high product purity.

Building on the existing McCANNASEAL® floating ball design, this new trunnion mounted ball valve greatly minimizes the effects of Paraxylene and caustic flushing in the oxidation reactor to keep the PTA process clean. The wedge seat design of the McCANNA ball valve permits the use of non-resilient seats with temperature limits and corrosion resistance beyond those of common seat materials, allowing the valve to deliver durable functionality under demanding conditions typical to PTA production.
