Flexitallic unveils corrosion sealing innovation

Flexitallic, a global leader in static sealing solutions which is headquartered in Houston, Texas, has unveiled its latest technology innovation, Corriculite, designed for use in corrosion sensitive applications, including those prevalent in the offshore industry.

Corriculite tackles the problem of flange face corrosion on bolted joints in seawater and hydrocarbon applications, aiming to maximize asset integrity, the extension of equipment life and increased operational productivity.

Corriculite is an inert, non-conductive filler material that remains inactive in corrosive mechanisms and joints. It is designed to outperform graphite, demonstrating a pressure loss of only 1 per cent, compared to 17 per cent in an equivalent graphite gasket.
