Fifth edition of Emerson’s “Control Valve Handbook”

Emerson released the fifth edition of its “Control Valve Handbook,” expanded to include new chapters on safety instrumented systems (SIS), discrete automation, and isolation valves.
“The collective knowledge of the subject-matter experts who contribute make this handbook a must-have reference for any process engineer,” said Kevin Meyer, president of Emerson’s flow control business. “Over five decades, it has become a general-practice manual for college students, application engineers, or repair technicians: anyone charged with selecting, sizing, or maintaining valves for a variety of industry applications.”
The industry reference book was initially published in 1965 and has sold more than 100,000 copies to date. The 300 page, full-color, hard-back guide to the selection and use of valves and accessories is available from local Emerson sales offices and Amazon.com.
