Exxon Mobil launches oil analysis service

Exxon Mobil, whose US headquarters are located in Texas, have launched Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis, a new mobile-enabled used oil analysis service. The service has been developed with a focus on the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) industry, to help identify equipment issues before they happen and avoid unscheduled equipment maintenance.

Mobil Serv Lubricant Analysis, which replaces Exxon Mobil’s Signum Oil Analysis, can help engineers to avoid unscheduled downtime and to maintain a reliable operation. When monitored regularly, the used oil analysis program helps to enhance equipment reliability and lubricant consumption.

The service leverages scan-and-go technology with QR (Quick Response) Codes so customers can deliver used oil samples to Exxon Mobil’s oil analysis laboratory. Customers can then access results and customized equipment recommendations on mobile or tablet devices using a cloud-based app and share it with any other parties, as needed.
