EnerMech “door-to-door” valve maintenance

EnerMech, with operations in the USA, Mexico and the West Indies, has recently launched a “door-to-door” valves maintenance service in South Africa. The group, which employs 2,400 people around the world, has equipped two mobile testing rigs capable of certifying and servicing valves within a 1,200-mile radius of Cape Town.

Under South African law, safety valves have to be re-certified every one to three years and Stephen David, EnerMech’s valves general manager for Africa, said the new service is proving very popular among customers in the industrial services and energy sector.

This is exceptionally beneficial for clients that do not wish to have their safety valves moved off-site. EnerMech’s mobile response team aids in the prevention of delays, process safety and client sourcing needs of new valves and spares. Moreover, not only is this “door-to-door” approach proving successful in the mainstream heavy industries, EnerMech is seeing rewards in sectors as diverse as brewing and pulp and paper.
