Emerson has enhanced its DeltaV™ Automation Platform with version 16 of its Distributed Control System (DCS) and Safety Instrumented System. The update offers end users a wealth of new benefits and field-proven capabilities in a single release.

For instance, it’s designed to deliver software-defined capabilities that reduce automation costs, enhance operational intelligence, and improve data visibility. Additionally, it’s able to strengthen cybersecurity, offer efficient deployment, and expand capabilities of automation systems.

With a number of additional features, version 16 provides access to the DeltaV IQ Controller, deployed in a server-based environment, and can handle the most demanding process control applications.
