DeZURIK expanding headquarters & opening new facility

DeZURIK, Inc., the valve manufacturer in municipal and industrial markets, has announced that it plans to expand production at its Sartell, Minnesota, headquarters as well as open a new rapid fulfillment facility near Houston, Texas.

“This change will allow us to better serve our customers while continuing to deliver world class quality and superior performance in innovative valve technologies,” said DeZURIK President and CEO Bryan Burns. “We are dedicated to making the transition as smooth as possible for customers and employees alike.”

Production will gradually be phased out of the company’s Schaumburg, Illinois, location, which DeZURIK has operated since acquiring the industry-leading, APCO brand seven years ago. Roughly two-thirds of the volume will be moved to the company’s headquarters in Sartell, which specializes in custom manufacturing for complex customer requirements. The company expects to hire approximately 30 highly skilled employees and make capital investments into its Sartell facility to expand production.

The remaining volume will move to the new location near Houston, which is ideally situated to serve DeZURIK’s customer base in the Southern part of the country. The target date for completion of the transition is March of 2019. The Schaumburg facility employs approximately 60 employees, who will have the opportunity to seek employment at one of DeZURIK’s other facilities, or to work with a DeZURIK-provided outplacement company to find new employment.
