Curtiss-Wright acquired the Versatile Measuring Instruments and Lisle-Metrix product lines from the Amidyne Group for an estimated US7million. The product lines consist of original equipment and re-engineered replacement products for obsolete equipment for the commercial nuclear power market. Both product lines will be integrated into Curtiss-Wright’s Flow Control business segment which provides nuclear-grade analog process control instrumentation to support the current installed base of operating reactors.
A privately held Canadian company based out of Newmarket, Ontario, Amidyne Group acquired the Lisle-Metrix line of diverse products such as conductively analyzers, timers, relays and liquid level instruments in 1998 and the Versatile Measuring Instruments line consisting of safety-related panel meters was acquired in 2005. Both product lines primarily serve the 30 Canada Deuterium Uranium nuclear power plants globally, with the majority of the revenue generated by the 21 Canadian CANDU plants.
