Construction starts on EPIC NGL pipeline

Construction has begun for what’s being called the “natural gas super-highway.” The 650 mile long pipeline called the EPIC NGL Pipeline spans from New Mexico through Texas to Corpus Christi.

The natural gas pipeline is expected to produce 375,000 bpd and will be run by EPIC Y Grade Pipeline in connection with BP Energy. Construction on the pipeline is expected to be finished in early 2019 and will serve multiple points in the Delaware and Midland basins. A portion of the new pipeline project will be in service by early 2018.

The completed NGL pipeline will have interconnects in hubs such as Orla, Benedum and Corpus Christi. The 650 mile pipeline will run side-by-side with the previously announced EPIC Crude Oil Pipeline for most of its route.
