It has been announced that Emerson has acquired Cascade Technologies, a manufacturer of gas analyzers and monitoring systems using Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology based out of Stirling, Scotland.

Cryofab acquires Cryocomp

Cryofab designs and supplies cryogenic dewars, storage vessels and transfer systems for the industrial gas, research, aerospace, medical, semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries.

ValvTechnologies invests in HVOF capabilities

ValvTechnologies, manufacturer of zero-leakage severe service isolation valve solutions, has expanded the company’s existing in-house coating capabilities by purchasing two additional state-of-the-art robotically integrated High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) spray booths.

Chevron produces base oil at plant

Chevron U.S.A, a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, has begun commercial production of base oils from its new manufacturing facility located at the company’s Pascagoula refinery. The premium base oils produced at the plant will add to the company’s existing capacity at its refinery in Richmond, California, positioning Chevron to become the world’s largest producer of base oil.

Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation’s Powertrain division entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire TRW's engine valve business. The TRW engine valve business, which develops and supplies engine valves for passenger car engines, heavy-duty engines and large-bore engines for industrial and marine applications, has an annual global sales of USD 610M and employs 5,400 people in 12 countries.
