Shell Global Solutions International B.V. has awarded Genesis an Enterprise Framework Agreement covering subsea umbilical rises and flowlines, engineering and project management services. The contract to be initially managed by Genesis’ Houston office, will focus on Shell’s Gulf of Mexico and Brazil activities for a duration of five years with the option to extend the agreement for another five years.

WorleyParsons wins contracts

TransCanada has awarded two fabrication and construction contracts worth CAD 58 million for work on its terminal in Hardisty, Alberta, to WorleyParsons. The Australian engineering company’s Canadian subsidiary WorleyParsonsCord will conduct brownfield work on Terminal A and plant construction work at Terminal B at the facility.

MarkWest announces Utica & Marcellus Expansion

    MarkWest Energy will operate about 2.3Bcf/d and 300,000Bbl/d of fractionation capacity, serving the Northeast shales, which includes the Utica, Marcellus and Huron, once expansion plan is complete.

Expro opens office in Newfoundland

Expro has opened a new operations base in the Octagon Industrial Park in Paradise, Newfoundland. The base is four-bay workshop with 8,400sq ft of warehouse area, an office annex with 6,000ft and a two acre lot and will accommodate a team of 30 people.

Diaz begins development program in Macklin, SK

    Having received drilling license, Diaz Resources Ltd. has begun a development drilling program in the Macklin, Saskatchewan area to drill up to three horizontal Dina heavy oil wells.

American Liberty adds new oil discovery lease

  American Liberty Petroleum Corp. exercised its option agreement to receive assignment of Nevada-based oil and gas leases, Gabbs Valley lease with a 75% working interest, Cortez lease with a 60% working interest and the Kibby Flat lease with a 75% working interest, on 27 June 2011.
