Wood Group acquires Sunstone Projects

The oil castor services company, Wood Group, has acquired Sunstone Projects, a pipeline consulting company based in Calgary, Canada.

AMPO Poyam Valves to build 54” cryogenic valve

AMPO Poyam Valves will supply a series of cryogenic valves for a number of LNG facilities across the world. Subsea 7 secures Shell contract in offshore Brazil

Subsea 7 announced the award of a lump sum contract valued at approximately USD 110M by Shell for the installation of jumpers, umbilicals and associated subsea structures for the BC-10 Phase 3 Project in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil.Project management and engineering will be performed from Subsea 7’s offices in Rio de Janeiro and will commence in Q1 2014.

Addition to Fluor’s board of directors

It has been announced that Matthew K. Rose has been elected to Fluor’s board of directors. The position will become effective on April 30, 2014.

LNG export facility approved for Louisiana

US Senator, Mary Landrieu, has announced that Sempra Energy, the California-based natural gas company, will be constructing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

Phillips 66 to start midstream projects in Texas

The US oil and refining company, Phillips 66, has announced that it will be starting two midstream projects in Brazoria County, Texas, in an effort to move away from producing refined products and focus more on energy transportation and processing infrastructure.The board-approved projects are reportedly worth $3 billion and are expected to form the backbone of Phillips 66’s operations.

Chevron adds MRC Global as strategic PVF supplier

Chevron USA added MRC Global and its subsidiaries as a strategic valve supplier on the Future Growth Project in Kazakhstan.
