Canadian operator relocates natural gas pipeline
One of Canada’s largest pipeline companies was mandated to relocate a pipeline in an environmentally and politically sensitive area on a tight timetable.
The section that required relocation is part of the major 30” natural gas corridor that traverses west to east across Canada, delivering energy to one-third of the nation’s population.

FERC approval for Cameron LNG Liquefaction project
CB&I congratulated Cameron LNG, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, on receiving authorisation from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to site, construct and operate a natural gas liquefaction and export facility at the site of the company's LNG receipt terminal in Hackberry, Louisiana.
Statoil, PTTEP split Canadian oil sands interests
Statoil and PTT Exploration and Production completed the agreement to divide their respective interests in the Kai Kos Dehseh (KKD) oil sands project in northeast Alberta, Canada, in May.Statoil now owns 100% and continues as operator of the Leismer and Corner development projects with PTTEP owning and operating 100% of the Thornbury, Hangingstone and South Leismer areas.
Noble Energy acquires deepwater GoM acreage
Noble Energy has reached an agreement with BP Exploration & Production to acquire 50% of BP's interest in 17 deepwater exploration leases in the Gulf of Mexico. Each of the leases resides in the Atwater Valley protraction area, with Noble Energy acquiring a 50% working interest in 13 leases and an average 26% working interest in 4 leases.
