LNG plant planned for Florida
American LNG has received local permission to move ahead with a $250 million USD LNG plant in Titusville, Florida, which is near Cape Canaveral.
The building company still has to procure the various construction and environmental permits that are required for such a project, associated officials are confident that the plant could be up and running in as soon as 18 months.
Exterran secures contracts in South America
Exterran Holdings announced that it has signed two agreements related to projects in Bolivia and Brazil. The first, signed in October 2014, is a six-year compression services contract with Petrobras Bolivia including construction and installation of a compressor station for two fields near Tarija, Bolivia.
Enbridge adds 17 new valves to pipeline
Enbridge Inc. has asked Canadian regulators for permission to start up a pipeline by late June 2015 that would ship crude oil from Western Canada to refineries in Eastern Canada, a move that had been delayed by concerns over pipeline safety measures.
New subsea alliance formed
Helix Energy Solutions Group, OneSubsea (which is a Cameron and Schlumberger company) and Schlumberger executed definitive agreements for the companies’ non-incorporated alliance. This alliance has been formed to develop technologies and deliver equipment and services to optimize the value chain of subsea well intervention systems.
Enbridge building pipeline in GOM
It has been announced that Enbridge Inc. will build, own and operate a crude oil pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) to connect the planned Stampede development, operated by Hess Corporation, to an existing third-party pipeline system.
