Metso is continuing to transform its mining business operations. The latest example is the announcement that the company will be closing of the manufacturing operations at the York, Pennsylvania, USA plant as of March 31, 2016.
ExxonMobil to expand US crude processing capacity
ExxonMobil will add flexibility to process light crudes at its Beaumont refinery, increasing production capacity by approximately 20,000 barrels per day. This expansion will further strengthen ExxonMobil’s integrated downstream portfolio in Southeast Texas.
Valve in Crane Lake being cleaned
A recent draw down of Crane Lake in Iron County, Missouri will allow USA staff to perform studies on the lake’s dam and containment structures. As well, a valve located at the bottom of the dam is also stuck and the draw down will allow for staff to repair this problem.

Ifm efector opens US headquarters
This week, Mr. Roger Varma, CEO of ifm efector USA, participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the company’s new US headquarters in the Atwater Corporate Center in Pennsylvania. The new facility is approximately 45,000-square-foot building.
