Trian wins seat on Pentair board

Corporate investor Nelson Peltz’s activist investment fund Trian has secured a seat on the board of UK-based industrial group Penetair, global manufacturer of pumps, pipes and valves used in the energy, agriculture, infrastructure and food sectors.

New oil & gas line from Graco

Graco Inc. has launched a new line of chemical injection pumps and flow control equipment that will keep pipelines and wells flowing in difficult conditions. In addition to pumps, the new product line includes high-tech controllers, durable seals and affordable remote-monitors that track fluid chemicals used to unclog wellheads and pipelines.

Honeywell to acquire Elster

Honeywell announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Elster Division of Melrose Industries, a provider of thermal gas solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential heating systems and gas, water, and electricity meters, including smart meters and software and data analytics solutions, for approximately USD 5.

NOW Inc. has announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the business of Challenger Industries, Inc. Challenger Industries, Inc. is a leading pipe, valves and fittings supplier for the downstream, midstream and upstream energy markets.

Kennedy Valve appoints new plant manager

Kennedy Valve has appointed Greg Clarke as the new plant manager. Prior to joining Kennedy, Clarke was the plant manager at Hitchiner Manufacturing’s Littleton New Hampshire facility. He has manufacturing operations and lean systems implementation experience in both metal and finishing operations.
