CIRCOR expands valve stem extension capability

CIRCOR Energy has announced that KF Valves, a CIRCOR business located in Oklahoma City, has expanded its capability to manufacture stem extensions and reduce lead times to better serve buried or underground pipeline demands for customers.

Air Liquide acquires Airgas

Airgas recently agreed to be acquired by French competitor Air Liquide for USD $143 a share, over 100% higher than the 2011 offer it fended off. The cash deal values Airgas at $13.4 billion when including its outstanding debt, and brings together two complementary businesses.

AZZ wins contract in China

Fort Worth, TX-based AZZ Incorporated, manufacturers of energy solutions equipment, including valve systems and power lines, has been awarded a contract by Yunnan Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Company for providing two circuits of 550kV-3150A Gas Insulated Lines (GIL) for the Huangdeng Hydro Power Plant in Yunnan Province, China.

Troy, Michigan-based ROSS Controls, recently introduced an expansion to its existing DM Valve Series for Air Dump / Release applications. The ROSS DM1 Series C Valve is a Control Reliable Double Valve with dynamic monitoring that can be used in Category 4 PL e applications that do not require dynamic memory.

EnerMech “door-to-door” valve maintenance

EnerMech, with operations in the USA, Mexico and the West Indies, has recently launched a “door-to-door” valves maintenance service in South Africa. The group, which employs 2,400 people around the world, has equipped two mobile testing rigs capable of certifying and servicing valves within a 1,200-mile radius of Cape Town.
