BP reports on the progress made on the company’s low carbon ambitions – including the expansion of their solar presence; safety; human rights; contribution to society; and managing environmental impacts such as water use in the company’s 2019 Sustainability Report.
The Sustainability Report concentrates on performance and activities from January 1 to 31, 2019 & December 2018. This includes all aspects of the business, including joint ventures where BP is the operator.
“As the world demands more energy to fuel increasing prosperity and provide people with a better quality of life, it also demands energy delivered in new ways, with fewer emissions. For the energy sector, this dual challenge is the defining issue of our times,” said Bob Dudley,Group Chief Executive at BP in a press release.
BP aims to advance energy to improve people’s lives: from the deep sea to the desert, from rigs to retail, and deliver full sustainable energy products and services to people around the world.
