BioChem & Koganei release co-developed valve

New Jersey-based Bio-Chem Fluidics, Inc. recently announced that it has released the OPUS Solenoid Operated Rocker Valve, the product of a co-development effort between Bio-Chem and Koganei Corporation, bringing to market a Manifold Mount Rocker Valve specifically designed to meet the needs of clinical diagnostics and life science applications.

The Bio-Chem and Koganei engineering teams worked closely to modify existing Koganei PVR valves to better serve these applications. This is the initial offering of the OPUS series Rocker Valves, with a 1.6mm orifice. The OPUS valve is approximately ½ the size and has 60% of the internal volume of competitive valves while maintaining equivalent flow rates.
