The Beswick Engineering needle valve (NV) is an adjustable orifice which can be used to control flow rates, mini-cylinders, nozzles, timing circuits, filling heads, bleed vents, and in many other applications. The adjustable flow remains stable even during temperature fluctuations as the needle and valve seat are both manufactured from stainless steel.
Available in brass, 303 or 316 stainless steel body; all models have 303 or 316 stainless steel stud and cap, stainless steel lock nut and optional brass knob. The standard needle valve is assembled with three Buna- N O-rings. Optional O-ring materials are available upon request: EPDM, Viton and Silicone.
The NV is rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 500 psig (34.47 bar). The metal to metal seal provides positive shut-off down to 25 in Hg. (vacuum). The needle valve is available with three different needle types, a standard needle, high resolution needle and a high flow stud/body & needle. All styles are assembled with a 2-56 threaded adjustment screw.
