Automated Valve & Equipment acquires TechniQuip

Automated Valve & Equipment, the specialty valve and automation division of Ohio Pipe Valves & Fittings, Inc, have announced plans to acquire TechniQuip, Inc., a representative and distributor of valves and actuators since 1990.
The purchase of TechniQuip, based in Eastlake, Ohio, further increases Automated Valve & Equipment’s share in the customized piping products market.
“This merger brings with it some prominent product lines to better serve our customers,” said Michael Resch, president of Automated Valve & Equipment. “The acquisition of TechniQuip will enhance the breadth and depth of our product offering and provide even greater value to our customers,” added Resch.
The integration of both companies will take place on July 1. Jack Ambrose, founder of TechniQuip, will take on the role of Vice President of Sales at Automated Valve & Equipment and Tom McNamara will join Joanne Wynn on the inside sales team.
