Atomic power stn. in Delta returns to full power

Operators at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, located in Delta, Pennsylvania, returned Unit 2 to full power early Friday after completing a maintenance outage that began on December 14.

Unit 2 returned to full power around 3 a.m., Dec. 18, according to Exelon spokeswoman, Krista Connelly.

The unit was taken out of service to inspect and repair a steam valve. Connelly said the repairs could not be performed while the unit was online because of the valve’s location.

Peach Bottom Unit 3 continued to operate at full power during the Unit 2 outage.
