The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) recently approved MAXIM Power Corp’s application to construct and operate the 500MW HR Milner Expansion Project (M2). The expansion will be located adjacent to the existing 150MW HR Milner Generating Station (M1) and will utilize state-of-the-art, supercritical, pulverized coal technology. Construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2012 and commissioning is expected three years after the start of construction.
