API appoints new VP of Communications

The American Petroleum Institute (API) has appointed Megan Barnett Bloomgren as its new Vice President (VP) for Communications.

Bloomgren most recently served as Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for the US Department of the Interior. The current Vice President, Linda Rozett, will retire later this month after seven years of service.

Jack Gerard, API President and CEO, said: “We are pleased to welcome Megan as our new head of communications […] There is no aspect of communications Megan is unfamiliar with, and I am certain her vast energy experience in government and the private sector will make her a tremendous asset to advancing API’s advocacy efforts.”
