AMPO Poyam Valves to build 54” cryogenic valve

AMPO Poyam Valves will supply a series of cryogenic valves for a number of LNG facilities across the world. These include Shell-Prelude FLNG, the world’s first LNG liquefaction offshore floating facility; Sabine Pass LNG Liquefaction project, the world’s first bi-directional facility capable of exporting gas in addition to degasifying imported LNG; Dunquerke LNG, the largest terminal in continental Europe, and Hitachi LNG, an LNG Terminal located in Ibraki Port, Hitachi City.

AMPO Poyam Valves designs and manufactures valves for the complete gas chain from gas treatment facilities to offshore, onshore and marine projects. AMPO is supplying more than 7000 ball, globe and check valves in austenitic stainless steel and WCB for Sabine Pass. For this project, they will produce a 54” ball valve – the biggest cryogenic ball valve ever manufactured. It will also supply 36” and 42” cryogenic HIPPS service valves with perfect sealing in less than two seconds.

AMPO will supply a series of 1,900 cryogenic ball valves, in austenitic stainless steel and with a special design for the Prelude FLNG project. Sizes will vary from 1” to 24” and pressure ranges from 150 lbs to 2500lbs. AMPO will supply cryogenic ball valves for Hitachi LNG project in Japan. This contract increases AMPO’s market share in Asia.
