The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America (Amca) has acquired Cal-Draulics, an engineering-focused supplier of high-precision hydraulic products for the aerospace industry. Founded in 1950, Cal-Draulics has supplied nearly every major American aircraft program, from the F-4 and DC-3 to the 737, 787, and F-35. The company was previously owned and led by Doug and Jeanette Johnson, who established the business’s reputation industry-wide.
In addition, Amca welcomes Doug Johnson as the newest member of its engineering team. According to the company, Johnson’s experience will be invaluable as Amca rapidly expands in design capabilities and manufacturing capacity to support aerospace OEMs and airlines in addressing growing hydraulic product challenges.
Amca’s engineering and capital resources will enable Cal-Draulics to take on significantly more work in the design, manufacturing, and testing of a wide range of products, from simple valves to complex actuators and larger assemblies.
