Alco Valves invests in Mazak precision machinery

Alco Valves Group, with North American operations in Houston, Texas, has recently invested in the latest Mazak lathe/milling machinery. The milling machinery includes the latest Mazak Integrex i-400ST, fitted with the company’s ‘smooth technology’, allowing Alco Valves to machine complete components in one operation, along with a sub spindle and lower turret that allows the best cycle times. The machine also features an additional robotic system, allowing it to run unmanned.

Mazak’s machines will be used for manufacturing the Alco Hi-Tek and Sub-Tek valves and will ensure that cycle times are improved by up to 50 percent, while also providing improved quality precision throughout the manufacturing process.
