Air Techniques introduces a lead-free valve

Air Techniques, a manufacturer of dental equipment, announced that all its remote water control valve components fully comply with the new lead-free laws that have taken effect in 2014.

The Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act, more commonly known as the Lead-Free law, which went into effect in January 2014, makes it mandatory that every pipe, fixture, and fitting used to convey water for potable use contain less than 0.25% of lead by weight. The Air Techniques remote water control valve contains all lead-free components. All connections are either threaded or have a mechanically pressed pipe with O-ring seal, and there are no soldered connections. The lower portion of the system can be turned 180° to mate with the inlet coming from either the left or the right. The solenoid valve body is constructed of 304 stainless steel. Also supplied with the system are two female soldered by male NPT adapters to provide additional installation options. All applicable components that are used in this device are certified or compliant with NSF 61 Annex G or NSF/ANSI 372.The ball valve allows the solenoid valve and filter assembly to be isolated for maintenance and still supply unfiltered water. The valve is available in 1” and ¾” sizes and is 24V AC.
