AGRU new pressure tapping valve for PE pipes

AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH (AGRU), a manufacturer of innovative plastic products, with North American operations in Georgetown, Washington, has introduced a new generation of the AGRU pressure tapping valve (DAV). The new tapping valve helps to create re-closable branches in no time on polyethylene (PE) pipes for potable water and gas.

Fully embedded heating wire provides easy-to-clean welding surface, protection against corrosion and uniform and material friendly heat distribution in the welding area. Premium material PE 100-RC provides outstanding resistance against slow crack growth and cost savings through installation without sand bed.

DAV’s design provides fast installation through mounting belt and screws, reduced space requirements, low weight requirements, short welding times and a cutting punch made of stainless steel for chipless tapping. In addition, it has low torque during the tapping process, actuation with maximum 10.5 turns, fixed stops against over-twisting and low pressure loss. Traceability of each part is guaranteed through running serial number and traceability code.
