Adqvalve’s scotch yoke pneumatic actuator is a piston type actuating mechanism, which is suitable for the switch cutting or metering control of the valve with a 90-degree angle.
The scotch yoke pneumatic actuator refers to a pneumatic actuator with a single cylinder, double piston and variable torque.
According to the different types of action, it can be divided into single acting scoth yoke pneumatic actuator and double acting fork pneumatic actuator. The switch action of the actuator is completed by the gas drive, which is a double acting scotch yoke pneumatic actuator; only the opening action is completed by the gas source, and the switch is a single acting scotch yoke pneumatic actuator as a spring reset.
According to the different structure, it can be divided into single cylinder piston type and double cylinder piston type.
When gear torque is higher than 7000Nm, rack and pinion actuators are often not cost-effective. For this reason, it is generally recommended to choose a high-power scotch yoke pneumatic actuator when selecting a pneumatic actuator.
The high power scotch yoke pneumatic actuator symmetrical and inclined steel fork mechanism allows two types of torque output characteristics. Among them, the inclined steel fork mechanism, with very high starting torque, low operating torque, suitable for control of butterfly valves; symmetrical steel fork mechanism, with a more balanced torque curve, mainly applicable to the control of ball valves and cock valves.
