Global manufacturer Flowserve has launched their new Durco G4XZ low-emission plug valve. The valve was engineered to perform reliably and ensure compliance with the most stringent ISO and API fugitive emissions standards, including ISO 15848-1-BH-CO3 and API 641 2016. The new valve can be used in hydrofluoric acid (HF) alkylation industry processes including: crude desalting, gas plants, blending, sulphur plants, isomerization, and light ends.
The G4XZ valve also can be used for lethal, toxic and sub-zero fluid services such as chlorine, anhydrous hydrogen chloride, phosgene, propylene oxide, isobutane and HF acid. It ensures increased plant and personnel safety via its fire-safe design and construction that complies with API 607 7th edition and ISO 10497 2010 fire-safe standards (for external leakage only).
Operators can install the Durco G4XZ valve with confidence in applications with volatile air pollutants and hazardous fluids. The Durco G4XZ valve design has undergone rigorous testing and is certified to the most stringent industry standards, including ISO 15848-1-BH-CO3 (2,500 mechanical cycles) and API 641 2016.
The tight shut-off performance is repeatable and reliable to minimize unforeseen downtime; The G4XZ valve design does not require lubrication for sealing. Instead, the plug can simply be adjusted further into the sleeve to improve sealing capability.
