In the oil and gas sector equipment performance is critical. Reliability and extended lifetime are key success factors for efficient and cost-effective operation. Faced with the combination of aggressive media, high temperature and high pressure as well as abrasives, it is important that the components which deal with these conditions can provide maximum performance.
ORBINOX, a global manufacturer, will supply 28 EB model stainless steel knife gate valves complying with NACE hardness requirements and size ranging from 4”-16” (DN100-400). Valves will be mounted on deck above waterline.

BP, as operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field development, has awarded construction contracts for the Azeri Central East (ACE) project in the Caspian Sea.
The Azeri Central East (ACE) project is centred on a new 48-slot production, drilling and quarters platform located mid-way between the existing Central Azeri and East Azeri platforms in a water depth of approximately 140 metres. The project also includes new infield pipelines to transfer oil and gas from the ACE platform to the existing ACG Phase 2 oil and gas export pipelines for transportation to the onshore Sangachal Terminal.
The front-end engineering and design (FEED) contracts for the new platform along with associated tie-ins to existing platforms and for the subsea infrastructure for the ACE project were awarded to a joint venture of KBR and SOCAR, in January 2018.
The drilling facilities, where ORBINOX valves will be placed, are based upon a drilling equipment set and modular drilling support module integrated into the topsides design.
