As the Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas 2020 event approaches, we reflect on the positive outcome of the previous Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas event, which took place in June 2018. With a dynamic group of industry professionals, end users, manufacturers, and distributors, the 2018 event lived up to its promise, and was a place where the environmental community could address the ever-changing world of fugitive emissions regulations and control.
The conference program focused on relevant topics to the industry in 2018, including Regulatory Updates, Testing, Emission Trends, Valves & Flanges, Control Technologies, Consent Decrees, Leak Detection Technologies, Air Pollution Control Technologies, and Emission Control Technologies. During the 2018 event, Rodney Roth, Global Valve & Subject Matter Expert at Carrara and member of the Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas 2020 Steering Committee, said “This event is unique because it is not just about valves, or emissions, or packing and gaskets; this is an event about all of those things, and more. Drone manufacturers are talking to gasket manufacturers, and packing manufacturers are talking to monitoring device suppliers – and end users are talking to all of us. The feedback we have received so far has been great, and we are looking forward to an even bigger event in 2020.”
To ensure the Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas 2020 event, taking place on December 9th and 10th at the LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, & Technology (CPET) in Pasadena, TX, is offering the same amount of learning and growing opportunities as the 2018 event, the Fugitive Emission Summit Americas team, along with the Steering Committee, are working hard to build a highly technical and informative conference program. Topics will include Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR), Benzene Waste (BWON), Tanks, Monitoring & Testing Technology, Air Permitting, Emission Control & Prevention, and Best Management Practices. The conference program will feature presentations from a number of industry experts, including representatives from RFS Compliance Solutions, LDARtools, Phillips 66, TEADIT, Emerson, Baker Hughes, Bray, Velan, Score Diagnostics, and more. Be sure to join us this December, and take the opportunity to expand your knowledge, grow your network, and work toward reducing fugitive emissions.
