A leading steel producing company having trouble maintaining the necessary reducing atmosphere in it’s continuous galvanizing preheat furnace turns to the combustion control gas valve actuator for a solution. Limiting oxidation of the steel sheets as they move through galvanizing preheat furnace requires the ability to maintain furnace CO in a narrow band between 4 to 6%. The combustion gas control valve must be capable of continuous and precise modulation so that the process cascade
control loop can make the accurate corrections needed to maintain the environment and ultimately product quality.
