Purging in Severe Service Application Valves

In severe service valve applications, optimal and effective purge system designs extend valve service life and improve their performance. Increasing valve performance while reducing operational and maintenance cost is important to plant profitability. This study by Asmaa Kassab, Ph.D. & Gifford Decker, P.E of MOGAS Industries Inc. intends to optimize valve purge designs while reducing purge requirements. The ultimate goal is to achieve a customer centric application-specific purge design.
