Clippard launches 8 mm sub-mini electronic valves

Clippard Instrument Laboratory Inc., a manufacturer of miniature pneumatic valves, cylinders and fittings with headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, has recently announced a new, 8 mm direct actuating valve.

The valve was designed with a patented valving principle using Clippard’s stainless steel “spider,” with only one moving part that travels less than 0.007 in. Due to very low moving weights, they are designed to operate quietly and to emit very low vibration.

According to the company, the valve’s subminiature size and low energy consumption make them ideal for many applications, including medical and diagnostics.
