Sevan Marine and Fluor enter agreement

Sevan Marine ASA has announced that (through its subsidiary HiLoad LNG AS) it has entered into a cooperation agreement with Fluor Corp., a multinational engineering and construction firm headquartered in Irving, Texas, for global projects that use HiLoad’s floating regasification dock (FRD) LNG technology.

The FRD technology is designed to provide an alternative to conventional units and is applicable to floating LNG receiving, storage, transhipment and regasification terminals. The solution is applicable for facilities that deliver 50 – 400 million ft3/d of gas or more and enables the use of an LNG carrier as the floating storage unit. LNG regasification systems can be kept offshore, without needing port facilities, whilst maintaining operation during challenging weather and ocean conditions.
