ASCO expands Aiken facility

Emerson’s ASCO plant in Aiken, which produces solenoid and valve components, is getting an USD $8 million investment that will create about 86 new positions at the company. The company, through the South Carolina Department of Commerce, announced that hiring for the new positions is already underway at the plant, and applicants are directed to visit the company’s careers page online.

The ASCO business unit said it will consolidate its regional cylinder, motion control and accessory product lines to its Aiken facility, which produces solenoid valves, angle body piston valves, valve manifolds and other fluid and pneumatic technologies used in the automotive, life sciences, packaging, oil and gas and refining industries.
