Oil & gas robotics firm establishes Houston office

Diakont, a Russia-based global designer and manufacturer of robotic technology for oil and gas pipelines and storage, has established its first North American regional office in Houston. Diakont has developed robotic instruments that are able to inspect pipelines, and a submersible robot that can inspect storage tank floors, among other types of cleaning, maintenance and repair equipment for pipelines and storage tanks.

“The opening of our first North American regional office marks an exciting new era for Diakont’s energy services division,” company Managing Director Edward Petit de Mange said in a statement. “Having boots on the ground in Houston provides us with a great opportunity to demonstrate to new customers just how far our robotic technology has come, and what it can do for them.”
