Tax credits for California valve manufacturer

San Joaquin County valve manufacturer, Morril Industries Inc., will receive $200,000 in state tax credits that will bolster total investments in expansion projects, according to a recent announcement by California business officials.

Morril Industries is among 89 companies who have received USD $43.7 million in California Competes Tax Credit, aimed at fostering expansion and job creation in California. Altogether the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development expects to see a projected 7,164 jobs and generate more than $600 million in investment statewide.

Based in Escalon, Morrill Industries produces and sells metal valves, pipe couplings, filtration systems and parts used in agricultural, mining, industrial and municipal water systems.
It plans to invest nearly $2 million in a manufacturing facility, equipment, warehouse and delivery vehicles.
