DTS for New York town includes valves

Tonka Water recently commissioned a Delivered Treatment System (DTS™) to the community of New Berlin, New York, USA. The DTS is a “connect and commission” complete water treatment plant solution. The customized plant was delivered ready to connect to the water source and be commissioned to deliver potable water almost immediately, saving weeks of general assembly and construction.
Tonka Water’s full array of treatment technologies are available to be used in a DTS, but for the New Berlin application, the community chose a system with three vertical pressure filters to remove iron and manganese from the water. The filters are outfitted with Tonka Water’s unique Simul-Wash backwash system, which uses simultaneous air and water backwash to effectively clean media and save backwash water. All piping and valves associated with the DTS were installed prior to shipment, as was a complete chemical feed system.
Equipment flexibility is only one side of DTS versatility; these plants can also treat a broad range of flow rates from 25 gpm to 2 MGD. At New Berlin, the DTS operates at full plant flow rate (150 gpm).
DTS plants are adaptable to many treatment options and can be built with a number of exterior finishes to fit in with local aesthetics. The DTS is suitable for all climates, and its robust design is built to last.
