DuPont’s Vergnano to run titanium dioxide business

Mark Vergano, who has been with DuPont for 26 years, has been named as the new CEO of the chemical company’s titanium dioxide business when it starts operations during the second quarter of 2015.
Vergnano presently oversees the unit within DuPont, which is responsible for producing the pigment titanium dioxide that is found in a variety of products including car paint and sunscreen. But next year he will be responsible for overseeing the brand new company including its 7, 500 employees.

Current CEO of DuPont, Ellen Kullman, has already reported that the new company will be publicly traded. Meanwhile, over the next year or so, DuPont will turn its focus towards agricultural products.
