Mucon launches Series K2P Powered Iris Valve

The Mucon brand of Iris diaphragm valves has been associated with the control of powders, granules, capsules and pellets to the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Food processing sectors for over sixty years.

 
The second generation Series K2 Powered Iris Valves have been specifically designed for automatic and remote applications, complimenting the popular hand operated versions. Developed for applications requiring a high level of hygiene, this valve utilises patented, moulded diaphragm technology employed throughout the K-Valve range.

 
All body parts are manufactured from 316 stainless steel, as standard. White moulded diaphragms of Natural Rubber, EPDM and Silicone are all manufactured using FDA-approved materials.
 
The new MUCON K2P valves, with their diaphragms made of FDA-approved materials, have extensive use in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food sectors. It provides non-jamming electric and pneumatic actuation and is ATEX approved under Cat. 1D/2D.
