Parker introduces new Lite series, expands Xtreme

Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global motion and control technologies company, has introduced the Viking Lite Valve Series, a new low-cost inline solenoid valve. The valves feature Parker’s Wear Compensating System (WCS), which comprises a spool seal that expands radially under pressure, maintaining sealing contact with the valve bore.

The system requires no lubrication and provides lower pilot pressures for fast response and less wear. The Viking Lite Valve Series is designed to operate with standard pressures of up to 145 PSIG and standard temperatures ranges of 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C), making them suitable for applications including general industrial and food processing. The Viking Lite Valve Series come in 3-way and 4-way 2-position single and double solenoid and 4-way 3-position double solenoid functions, 1/8, 1/4 or 3/8 port sizes with a standard 22-pin 3-Pin DIN solenoid connector. The valves can mount individually or collectively on an IEM bar manifold.

In addition, Parker has expanded the line of Viking Xtreme Valve Series (solenoid and remote pilot valves) with a 3-way, 2-position valve to provide a wider range of applications from general industrial to rugged environments. The Viking Xtreme Valve Series solenoid and remote pilot valves come in two different versions — the Normal version and the Xtreme version. The Normal version valve operates in standard temperature and pressure ranges, it is available with hazardous duty, intrinsically safe or ATEX-approved solenoids. The Xtreme version was specifically designed for harsh applications and works in temperatures ranging -40°F to 140°F (-40°C to 70°C) and pressures ranging from vacuum to 232 PSIG.
