SunPower to develop two solar power projects in Ca

SunPower has begun construction on two new solar power projects for Yolo County in California. The two projects will be owned by Yolo County, and are expected to generate 5.8MW of solar power for county facilities. Earlier in 2010, SunPower had also built Yolo County’s first 1MW solar power system at the Yolo County Justice Center.

Both the new projects are ground-mounted solar power systems and utilize SunPower solar panels. One of the systems will use SunPower panels on the SunPowerT0 Tracker system that follows the sun’s movement during the day.

Both the projects are now under construction, and are expected to be completed this summer.
