Israel/El Salvador alliance for wave technology

El Salvador’s El Esplendor Development Corp and Israel’s SDE Wave Power Plants company have formed an alliance to execute Wave Power Technology in California and El Salvador.

SDE is a leader in planning, building and marketing power stations that produce power from ocean waves. The method that company uses involves using sea wave motion to generate hydraulic pressure that is turned into electricity. The system uses the speed, height, depth, rise and fall of the wave and the flow beneath the approaching wave to produce energy.

The initial stage of the alliance will involve SDE CEO Shmuel Ovadia transferring the knowledge of the system to El Esplendor CEO Raul Cornejo and Ovadia will then map locations along the coastlines of El Salvador and California to build Wave Power Plants.

The initial phase of the alliance includes the design and construction of two plants in El Salvador; the first, a 1MW plant to supply a high-end surfer’s resort in development next to Punta Mango and the second a 10MW commercial plant to supply tourist town La Libertad.
