Over 1000 delegates attended Emerson’s first Global Users Exchange in Europe for presentations, industry forums, keynote speeches and product technical sessions. The three-day event was held at the Hotel Maritim, Düsseldorf, Germany from May 29th to 31st , emphasizing the concept of “by users, for users” and attracted visitors from across Europe and Angola, South Africa and Qatar.
Emerson Process Management’s President Steve Sonnenberg provided the opening address which focused on the themes of investment and trust, discussing Emerson’s addition of 4000 employees globally in 2011 to provide responsive local support.
Delegates attended a choice of about 100 themed presentations, mostly from end users and were able to attend the Solutions Exhibition held in conjunction which allowed the opportunity to see new innovations, technologies and services from Emerson and partners.
Emerson introduced three new technologies to reduce the complexity of process manufacturing safety; the DeltaV SIS™ logic solver with TÜV-approved CHARM I/O technology, TÜV-certified CSI 6300 Digital Overspeed Protection System and DVC 6200 SIS TÜV-certified digital valve positioner.
Emerson has established a forum for the free exchange of non-proprietary information among the global user community www.EmersonExchange365.org . The next Global Emerson Exchange will be held in Anaheim, California from October 8th to 12th, 2012.
